Why is there no sound until I click?
Browsers—especially mobile Safari—require a user gesture before audio can begin. Press Play sound; if it fails, check silent mode and device volume, then retry.
Is this a hearing test or absolute-pitch test?
No. EarHabit is musical practice, not medical diagnosis. Pitch Memory trains relative pitch recall and does not label absolute pitch ability.
Where is my progress stored?
In this browser’s local storage. It does not sync automatically. Use Progress → Export JSON before clearing browser data or changing devices.
Why can my rating fall?
The rating reflects recent accuracy, response time, difficulty, and sample confidence. A harder or less consistent session can lower it; the goal is a useful personal signal.
Does today’s session change?
The daily sequence uses the local calendar date as a deterministic seed. It repeats consistently for that day and changes after the local date changes.
